Spectacular Trails

I would like to share some of the beautiful sights I have seen in the awesome state of Colorado. My friends razz me about being a "black slope rider" but I haven't come off and only with a horse, I completely trust. We have traveled to the North rim of the Grand Canyon, McCrystal Creek in North Arizona, Land of Lakes in Kentucky, and some of the horse camps in Tennessee. We have gone up to Idaho and Northwest Washington, South Dakota in Custer State Park with the buffalo ( keeping a wide berth between the bulls/cows/calves and us!) and have ridden up to see the Presidents' faces. In western Kansas, we rode with friends and in Ft. Robinson in Nebraska as well. There is a place in south Colorado where we rode and saw dinosaur footprints in the sandstone. They are said to be Brontosaurus, with a baby in the middle. That was amazing. I hope to get up to Yellowstone, the Oregon horse camps, California and someday Alaska. I love to bushwhack, always mindful of environmental damage.

I hope you enjoy just a few of the amazingly beautiful wonders I have seen and would like to share with you! I have had many people tell me "Walkers can't trail ride...they can only do flat land!" I can attest this is not so. A good-minded horse is my #1 requirement because all the beauty and gait in the world won't keep me safe on the side of a mountain. (see Grace Dancers' story) Enjoy and find your path to joy and please, "Pay it Forward."
