Investment's Silk-n-Satin is out of Investment Genius and
Bay-B Ryder Delight. This
filly is loaded with talent...She won Colorado weanling filly futurity,
first at Colorado Celebration weanling division, the she won the FOSH
Halter division, 3rd (I think) Model weanling fillies. (Look up her
show record) VERY smart, independent, curious about EVERYTHING, she had
to be involved in all activities. Bought by Martie Jacobsen, she has
been shown extensively and successfully in NWHA shows. |
Hi Maxine,
This is a terrible picture of me but I wanted you to see the backend on
Silk. This was taken at the NWHA National. There were 1,700+ entries,
the biggest show the Tennessee Miller Coliseum has ever had of any
breed. The smallest class we were in was 29, usually 30+ horses. Every
class I was in except one required a workout because the classes were so
huge and the quality of horses was so good. We received a 3rd, 4th, 5th,
6th, two 7ths and two 8ths ... a ribbon in every class we entered. Silk
was a very good girl the entire time, from the moment she loaded up at
home until she arrived back home 12 days later. She tried her hardest
and gave me 150%. She's finally maturing. I've always neglected to tell
you what an incredible trail horse she is, too. She is wonderful on the
trail, calm and very, very brave. Absolutely nothing spooks her. Silly
girl LOVES to jump so she takes every opportunity to launch herself --
pretty funny.
Anyway, thought you'd enjoy seeing her again.
Martie

Hi Maxine,
I was at the big FOSH show today, and my favorite horse was Silk - out of
your bay mare. She was awesome, and her rider looked like she was having a
great time. She didn't place as high as I thought she should have, but I
liked watching her. If I could have taken home any of the horses from today,
it would be her. Her owner (can't remember her name) said to tell you that
Silk's baby also did well this weekend.
